Pumpkin Scissors Manga Opinion Review

Pumpkin Scissors was one of those manga I passed over for multiple reasons. The name was one. The name didn't catch my interest at all so I ignored it. However, after running into a AMV with multiple anime's in it. I realized I wanted to watch it from the clips I saw and after I watched the anime I needed to read the manga. The anime is good but the manga is 100% better. I am kinda glad I didn't start it for a while though cause it was licensed but Del Ray Dropped it. Then nobody scanned it for a long time. So I am glad I picked it up when releases started coming out again. There is a fairly large following given that there is a anime and fan fiction and also fan art so hopefully Del Ray will allow someone else to do the project that actually wants to if they don't like it anymore.

That brings me to the second reason why I skipped over it when I first saw it. I like Action Manga but I am not big on guns. I usually find them cowardly. So, I tend so shy away from manga that make a big use of them. However this one is different. Randal has to get in point blank range to pull the trigger so he feels the weight of ending a life. Unlike idiots who can snipe off a building or shoot out of a car window without watching the light leave their victims eyes. So this one is not like that. Plus Lieutenant Alice Malvin doesn't use a gun at all. She uses a Dagger and a double bladed sword. Its pretty cool watching the animation of her fighting in the anime with the sword so that is one of the biggest reasons to watch the anime. Unfortunately she only uses it a few times. Usually she is just using her dagger.

Stray Dog Comic Opinion Review

Stray dog is a really good dark romance comic. The art is exceptional. Honestly there are few comics or manga that are drawn as beautifully and in depth as this one. The art is what got me to follow the banner link in the first place. The first few chapters on the website were a little hard to read cause the translations were not great but the translations have become really good over time and I am not sure if they fixed the first chapters up or not.

Zusun Manhwa Opinion Review

This manhwa is pretty short. It has a total of 20 chapters but the chapters are all pretty short as well. Its worth the time reading if your looking for a romance. Still though I didn't dislike it in general and there are a few things I really did like about it. If I was to put it on a scale of how much I liked it compared to every manga, manhwa, manhua, and comic I have read, I would rate it as just slightly above average. Thats not to say it is bad or that others would draw those same conclusions but to me there were a few large issues with it that it could have worked out to make it so much better.

C-Blossom - Case 729 Manga Opinion Review

This was a excellent manga. It is only 2 volumes long and it is a spin off of another manga that has not been licensed or scanned in English. They labeled this as a Shoujo manga though the only thing I could conclude that was shoujo about it was the main girl was in high school before everything started. This is a spin off of "Boukoku no Aegis" which is a Seinen but has not been translated. I am curious about the other manga and hope that it will be translated in the future.

Butakai Ouji to 100 Kai no Kiss Manga Opinion Review

This was a short manga based on a fairy tale called "The Swineherd". I have never read the original fairy Tale though this is one of those manga that most likely took a more innocent fairy tale and turned it into something a bit more adult.

As far as my own opinion of it. I thought it was a pretty good read. I wouldn't say it was a favorite though. It is short and interesting. It is a romance but the type of romance was not average. Especially for the fairy tale type story. That is one of the reasons why I ended up liking it.

I didn't really like the 2 main characters too much. Though their flaws were very human. So it was still interesting to read about them and their relationship. As with all fairy tales there was a happy ending. The biggest issue I had with the short story was that I doubt resentments in real life of this nature could be quelled so quickly and easily.

This story had graphic sexual content in it... though it doesn't really show full nude bodies so weather it is really something that should be censored from teens or something, I don't know. The morals may actually make it worth it for them to try it out.

Some of the good morals taught in this short story are:
1. Some things, regardless of how bad you want them now, are not worth it.
2. Think things through and weigh the good and bad before acting upon them. Keep in mind possible repercussions for your actions.
3. Give people a chance to explain their reasons and views even if you think you will not agree sometimes we just don't see the whole picture. Good communication can quell bad feelings sometimes.

As I said the story was short so there is not much I can give a opinion about. It was an original work. The art was pretty good and the characters though I did not like them too much were very human. I suggest it to anyone who is looking for a good short read in between other stories they are following so long as they don't mind some sexual content.
